Draws for South American Championships to take place on Thursday

SAN JUAN (2016 South American Championships) - The draws for the South American Championships for Men and Women will take place on Thursday, April 21, at the Museo del Deporte, in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.

The South American Women's Championship will be played from May 20-26 in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, while the men's tournament will take place from June 26-July 2, in Caracas, Venezuela.

Here are the procedures for the two draws.

The 10 teams that will compete in the South American Championship are: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and the host, Venezuela.

The 9 teams competing in the South American Women’s Championship are: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and the host, Venezuela.

The draws, which will see the teams divided into two groups, will take place at 12:00 (GMT-4) and can be watched live on youtube.com/FIBA.
