  • 11 times Champion of the Spanish Cup: 1960, 1961, 1962, 1965, 1967, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974 and 1975
  • Guided Real Madrid to two Spanish League undefeated seasons in 1962 (18-0) and 1973 (30-0)

Individual Highlights:

  • Co-Founder and President of the World Association of Basketball Coaches (WABC) in 1976
  • Since 1991, Founder and President of the Pedro Ferrándiz Foundation located in Alcobendas (Madrid, Spain), an institution devoted to the study and diffusion of the culture of our sport which holds the biggest basketball library in the world and an impressive museum

  • Recipient of the inaugural Best Spanish Coach Award in 1975, awarded by the Spanish Association of Basketball Coaches (AEEB)
  • Olympic Order, awarded by S.E. Mr. J.A. Samaranch, President of the IOC (only basketball coach to have ever earned this award) in 1998
    FIBA Order of Merit in 2000
  • Best Spanish Coach of the XXth Century for the magazine 'Gigantes del Basket'
  • Recipient of the first Raimundo Saporta Award in 2001, by the Spanish Association of Basketball Coaches (AEEB)
  • Gran Cruz de la Real Orden del Mérito Civil (top civil distinction in Spain, awarded by the Spanish Government) in 2002
  • Elected in 2008 as one of the 50 Greatest Contributors in the History of European Club Basketball
