Wilson named MVP of 2015 FIBA U19 Women's World Championship, headlines All-Star Five

CHEKHOV/VIDNOE (2015 FIBA U19 Women's World Championship) - United States captain A'Ja Wilson had reason for a double celebration at the 2015 FIBA U19 Women's World Championship after receiving the Most Valuable Player award, presented by Tissot.

Wilson had 30 points and 8 rebounds to lead the way for the USA in their 78-70 Final win over Russia. In the process, she claimed her second title at the tournament after being part of the winning team in Lithuania two years ago.

It was also the sixth consecutive title for USA, who have dominated the competition since 2005, with Wilson becoming the first player in USA Basketball history to score 30 points in the tournament.

The centre headlined the All-Star Five and was joined by her team-mate Napheesa Collier.

Meanwhile, home favourites Maria Vadeeva and Daria Kolosovskaia both flew the flag for Russia, with Alanna Smith were also selected after helping Australia take third place.
