Montenegro add Angelica Robinson to mix for EuroBasket Women

PODGORICA (EuroBasket Women 2015) - Montenegro head coach Momir Milatovic will have one of the most powerful frontcourts at EuroBasket Women 2015 after announcing the inclusion of naturalised star Angelica Robinson.

The CB Avenida center will suit up for her adopted nation and take the reins from her club team-mate Eshaya Murphy, who inspired Montenegro during qualification last summer - prior to sustaining a serious injury last season.

Already possessing the stellar talent of Galatasaray odeabank forward Jelena Dubljevic and the towering presence of Iva Perovanovic, the frontcourt rotation of Montenegro looks particularly strong ahead of Final Round.

The players were included in the initial candidate list, which also included the likes of veteran playmaker Jelena Skerovic and shooting guard Snezana Aleksic.

Milatovic is seeking to emulate the kind of run which his country made four years ago at in Poland, which got them to within a game of the Semi-Finals and the FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

"We were sixth in Europe and had some outstanding games," he mused.

"The only bad game we played was in the Quarter-Finals.

"My experience and knowledge of these players and their quality, is a guarantee that we can do something big."

"We are very serious and the impetus for me is to have the players who are ready to give not 100, but 120 percent of their capabilities.

"They are all aware of this and will do their best."

Montenegro have scheduled ten preparations games and are congregating in a training camp in Maribor.

They will play in Group A against France, the Czech Republic, Romania and Ukraine.
