FIBA Europe Cup field reduced to 24 teams

MUNICH (FIBA Europe Cup) - The FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season came to a conclusion on Wednesday evening, seeing 24 teams advance to the Second Round.

Following six weeks of action, it is the top two teams from each Regular Season group, as well as the two best-finishing third-place teams from each of the two conferences, booking their tickets to the Second Round

The best third-place teams were arrived upon by disregarding the results against all fourth-placed teams in the four-team groups.

Taking the above into consideration, in Conference 1 it was SL Benfica and Kormend taking the two best third-spot places, whilst in Conference 2, it was Prievidza and Apoel.

The Second Round groups are as follows:

Beginning on 14 December, the Second Round will follow the same format as the Regular Season, with each team facing the other three teams in their respective groups both home and away.

All games will be streamed live on YouTube.com/FIBA.
