Prague's Petrovic continues to shine, headlines Week 9 Top Performers

MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - Sonja Petrovic filled up the stat sheet in ZVVZ USK Prague's 90-70 win at Wisla Can-Pack to earn EuroLeague Women Top Performer honors for the fifth time this season.

The 27-year-old collected 27 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists to finish with a week-high efficiency rating of 32, leading the Week 9 Top Performers and further boosting her season averages. Petrovic cemented her place atop the efficiency charts, as she now averages a ranking of 25.6 per game.

Nnemkadi Ogwumike and Brittney Griner follow in second and third spot on the list, and proved once more why they are among the cream of the crop by leading their respective teams to new victories this week.

Dynamo Kursk kept their perfect record intact after claiming an 84-70 road win against Mersin, with Ogwumike corralling 23 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists for an efficiency of 29.

Brittney Griner picked up similar numbers to guide Group B leaders UMMC Ekaterinburg to a comfortable 82-56 triumph at Uniqa Sopron. The US international was 8-of-11 from the field on her way to 22 points and added 9 rebounds and 2 blocks to record an efficiency of 31, a personal best for the season.

Virginie Bremont and Laura Macchi complete this week’s line-up, both claiming Top Performer honors for the first time this season. French guard Bremont had an efficient 15 points and 5 assists to help ESBVA-LM prevail over last year’s finalists Nadezhda 83-71, while Italian veteran Macchi contributed 17 points on a near-perfect 6-of-7 field goal shooting as well as 3 rebounds and 4 assists, as Famila Schio cruised past Uni Gyor 91-46.
