Meesseman takes Top Performer Honors as UMMC charge on

MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) – Belgian sensation Emma Meesseman went a point-a-minute on Wednesday evening to claim Top Performer honors for the final week of the Regular Season.

In yet another comprehensive victory for Russian powerhouse UMMC, Meesseman came off the bench for a nudge over 20 minutes, making 7 of her 8 field goals on the way to 20 points and 8 rebounds, for an efficiency of 31.

Helping her out in the frontcourt in this week's team is Gintare Petronyte, with the Mersin center making appearances on the Top Performers team a regular habit. However, despite her 17 points, Mersin's their European campaign came to a close on Wednesday night.

Another playing bowing out after this week’s action is Shenise Johnson. The small forward came up with a 21-point, 12-rebound double-double, but could not do enough to drive Uniqa Sopron to victory.

For the backcourt, despite dropping out of EuroLeague Women, there is still European action coming up via the EuroCup Women Quarter-Finals.

ESBVA's Virginie Bremont had an impressive all-round stat line of 14 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds, whilst Hatay's Bahar Ozturk had 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, as the Turkish club came within a whisker of an historic EuroLeague Women Quarter-Final position.
