Brazil announce 20 players for FIBA AmeriCup preliminary squad

SAO PABLO (FIBA AmeriCup 2017) - Brazil's new head coach, Cesar Guidetti, announced the 20 players invited to the practices of the national team for the country's participation in the FIBA AmeriCup 2017, from August 25-September 3.

"We are going to play this AmeriCup with a young team, which has been demonstrating the quality and values that accredit them for this call. The expectation is that we play with great intensity, without losing our organization and always leaving everything we have on the court," said Guidetti.

In the FIBA AmeriCup 2017, Brazil will be part of Group A in Medellín, Colombia, alongside the national squads of Mexico, Puerto Rico and the hosts Colombia.

The Brazilians will begin their participation in the continental competition against Colombia on August 25 and will then face Mexico and Puerto Rico consecutively.

Brazil would need the first position of the preliminary Group to qualify to the Semi-Finals of the FIBA AmeriCup 2017 in Cordoba, Argentina.
