KOR - Lim and Park lighting it up with Woori Hansae

CHUNCHEON (FIBA World Championship for Women) - It's turning out to be a dream start to the club season for Yung Hui Lim and Hyejin Park who are both likely to star for Korea when the action gets underway at the FIBA World Championship for Women next year.

The duo have been an integral part of a Woori Hansae team which has made a scorching start to the new WKBL campaign with a superb 12 wins from their opening 13 games.

The pair are leading the scoring for their side with a combined 27 points per game and are both finding their range from downtown to propel Woori to a position of real strength at the top of the standings.

Veteran Lim showcased her perimeter skills coming off the bench at the FIBA Asia Championship for Women in Bangkok and helped Korea take silver with an impressive 53.3% conversion rate from the arc.

Her cameo performances showed she still has plenty to give and with her early form in the WKBL particularly impressive, she's made a strong case for more being given a similar role in Turkey.

The exciting and dynamic Park, meanwhile, is continuing to grow in stature and demonstrating the offensive skills which harvested a double-digit return in the Thai capital.

She poured in 20 points to fire her team to a 68-60 win against six-time champions Shinhan S-Birds recently, although her quick hands on defense will also be priceless when Korea return to the world stage next year.

Indeed the WKBL table-toppers can boast a core of four players who competed in Thailand, with Jee Hi Yang and Seungah Lee also on board, the latter doing a great job on the glass for her team since the season tipped-off.

Elsewhere, KB Stars have been benefiting from the unmistakable all-round presence of national team leader Yeon ha Beon.

As expected, she top scored at the FIBA Asia Championship for Women.

She also led her nation with a super 15.8 points per game via a three-point barrage, the last time Korea stepped out at the FIBA World Championship for Women.

They achieved a top-eight finish in the Czech Republic in 2010 and, with their core rotation looking good so far in the WKBL and with huge experience to call upon, they could certainly prove to be a dangerous opponent in Turkey.
