Korea buck slow start to overpower Philippines

BENGALURU (FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2017) - Korea fell behind by as many as 8 points in the first quarter before waking up and finally stamping their class on the Philippines, 91-63.

Korean ace Kim DanBi finally broke out of an offensive slump, scoring 19 points even if she shot just 6-of-17 from the floor. She also added 10 boards and 2 assists as the Koreans finally got their first win of the competition.

Kim got ample help from four other players who tossed in double-digit scoring led by Park JiSu's 15 points and 9 boards as well as Lim YungHui's 13-point, 10-rebound line.

As for Perlas Pilipinas, Allana Lim dropped 14 points as they remained winless at the end of their group phase assignments.

Korea finish third place in Group B, while Philippines are at fourth place.
