Career: .Gambrinus Brno (Czech Republic-ZBL, 1998-2008).

Vecerova has started at power forward for the Czechs for more than seven years and is the only one in the team to have made her first appearance when coach Bobrovsky was taking over the team as a coach. She’s an excellent defender and great rebounder. On offence, she plays the post-up with great finesse and a soft touch close to the basket. After a knee operation forced her to sit most of the time in the 2005-06 campaign, Vecerova struggled at the 2006 World Championship. But she played well at EuroBasket 2007 and was the second leading Czech rebounder behind Petra Kulichova. Vecerova helped Brno reach the 2008 EuroLeague Women Final, should have an important role again this summer.
