Valdemoro is one of the best European small forwards of all time. A long-time member of the Spain team, the only thing that matters to her is winning, which is why she was inconsolable after year’s title game defeat to Russia at the EuroBasket Women. Despite being honoured as the tournament MVP, Valdemoro wept because Spain had narrowly missed out on gold. Throughout the years, Valdemoro has mixed her strong desire with maturity and now she’s in her best moment, leading Spain to their best-ever finishes. Desperate to win a EuroLeague Women title, Valdemoro left Ros Casares for CSKA Samara (a club that last season relocated to Moscow) a few years ago but just agreed to return to the Valencia club.
