The 6ft 7in Eduardo Mingas may be undersized for a power forward at international level but he is extremely physical. He wears number 15 on his jersey in honour of Angolan and African legend Jean-Jacques Conceiçao. Mingas finished among the top 10 rebounders at the 2006 FIBA World Championship, hauling down seven per game, and in Japan was also among the top 15 scorers in the competition with an average of 14.3 points. Mingas was Angola's best player in the final of the last FIBA Africa Championship, finishing with 18 points, four rebounds and six assists while shooting seven of 11 from the field in the win over Cameroon.
