Career: Obras Sanitarias (Argentina, 1998-99), Fuenlabrada (Spain-ACB, 1999-2001), Alicante (Spain-LEB, 2001-02), Alicante (Spain-ACB, 2002-03), Tau Vitoria (Spain-ACB, 2003-08).

For years, Pablo Prigioni had been waiting in the shadow of Pepe Sanchez. Never mind that he was a solid member of his Spanish giantsTau Ceramica. When it came time to play for the National Team, Prigioni wasn’t able to unseat Sanchez as the starting playmaker and only made it to minor competitions. Once Sanchez retired from Argentina duty in March, Prigioni became the undisputed number one point guard of Argentina. Last summer, he was in the starting line-up at the FIBA Americas Championship with good friend and former Tau Ceramica teammate Luis Scola and provided a steady hand as the Albiceleste won silver to qualify for Beijing. In 2008, Prigioni had the best season of his club career as Tau swept Sanchez’s Barcelona 3-0 to win the ACB title.
