The 29-year old center Petravicius made the competition for the spots on the final roster much tougher. While Petravicius still has to play his first official game in the National Team jersey, he enjoyed a successful career in Europe over the last few years. In 2003-04, he led his Telindus club to the title in the FIBA Europe Cup final and was awarded the MVP trophy. And this year he proved can compete at the highest level when he averaged near 14 points and almost six rebounds per game with Lietuvos Rytas, helping them reach the Euroleague’s Top 16.
