During the 2005-06 season, Dynamo Moscow’s head coach Dusan Ivkovic gave Bykov an opportunity to run the point. Ever since, Bykov has not let his coaches down as this energetic and brave playmaker has emerged as a top-class distributor of the ball. Bykov turned out to be surprisingly adept at leading the fast break and he can even finish it himself at times. Bykov had some good games this season, especially in the ULEB Cup.
