Career: Independiente General Pico (Argentina, 1997-99), Tau Vitoria (Spain-ACB, 1999-2000), Manresa (Spain-LEB, 2000-01), Tau Vitoria (Spain-ACB, 2001-04), Chicago Bulls (USA-NBA, 2004-08)

The 2007-08 campaign was a frustrating season for Nocioni. Aiming for the stars and a shot at the NBA Finals, his Chicago Bulls crashed hard and missed the play-offs. His numbers were down, and Nocioni lamented his team’s performance. “We (Chicago) never played as a team,” he said. “We didn't play defense and we deserved to be out of the play- offs.” El Chapu missed last year’s FIBA Americas Championship in Las Vegas while nursing a foot injury. “Having taken a break last year, I am really looking forward to representing Argentina again,” he said. The Santa Fe native is fired up, still thinking about that last second three-pointer he missed in the semi-final against Spain that would have put Argentina into the gold medal game at the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan.
