Career: Málaga (Spain-ACB, 1997-2008).

Berni Rodriguez helped his hometown team Unicaja Malaga capture their first-ever ACB title in June 2006 and only three months later was a key player in Spain’s gold medal triumph at the FIBA World Championship. He made it back to the National Team for the EuroBasket in 2007 and helped Spain win a silver medal. After a difficult regular season with Unicaja due in large part to injuries, Rodriguez was outstanding in the play-offs and helped the team upset Real Madrid in the first round. Though labelled a shooting guard, Rodriguez possesses a playmaker's brain. His best skill is how he understands the game, always making the right decisions. He is a great passer and reader of the game.
