Alexey Zhukanenko is a candidate for a National Team call-up in case the team needs more front-court depth.
Able to play at both the center and power forward positions, he is a true big man who can hold his position in the paint and at the same time is versatile enough when it comes to attacking the basket.
He made 6 of his 17 three-point attempts last season and is also confident shooting from mid-range.
On a Dynamo team that didn’t have any foreign players during the 2009-2010 campaign, Zhukanenko was a reserve behind former National Team center Alexey Savrasenko and scored over 20 points several times - almost on pace for a point per minute.
He may still lack some experience playing at the top level but is doing his best to close the gap.
