Natalia was the leader in assists in the Brazil national championship with an average of 7.1 per game and one of the revelations of the year as a player with Catanduva, who finished runners-up to National Team coach Paulo Bassul’s Ourinhos. Her spectacular progress – she also poured in 13.1 points per game and came up with an average of two steals, led to her first Brazil call-up in March for a friendly series against Cuba in Havana. The fast point guard is hoping to represent her country in a rotation of the more experienced Claudinha and Adrianinha. Natalia makes up for her lack of height with additional fight. She is often found on the floor, battling opponents for loose balls.
