Career: Primero de Agosto (Angola, 2000-08)

Barbara Guimarães is a very cute guard of Primero de Agosto, which led people into nicknaming her “Biju” – jewel. She is expecting a very good comeback for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament, since 2007 was a bad year, missing the FIBA Africa Championship in Dakar and loosing her African Club Champion title with her only in her life club, Primero de Agosto. Since 1999, when she won the Junior FIBA Africa Championship title with Nacessela Mauricio, the 1,70 m guard became a very experienced backup for Angola National Team, a good defender who’s also capable to score when needed.
