Oquendo Valdes, who played at the 2006 FIBA World Championship but was not on the roster at last year's FIBA Americas Championship in Chile, is a very aggressive and explosive player on offence. Her best game two years ago in Brazil came against Russia when she scored 12 points. In that points haul, she showed her ability to connect from long range, making a three-pointer. Zabala will be looking for the shooting guard/small forward to provide a spark off the bench.
