Career: Velez Sarsfield (Argentina-Liga A, 2004-05), Velez Sarsfield (Argentina-Liga Nacional, 2006-08).

If Marina Cava is the shortest player in the National Team at 5ft 6in, she certainly is not short on talent. The offensive-minded playmaker proved that at the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship for Women where she poured in 20 points in 16 minutes against eventual champions Team USA. The team’s fourth leading scorer in the tournament at 8.4 points per contest, Marina Cava is lightning-quick – something she calls her biggest asset. While she delivers lessons on the floor on how to score with her one-on-one moves, three-point shooting is an area for Cava that could stand a lot of improvement. Note that she is also a physical education teacher and has her own website: www.marinacava.com.ar.
