When it comes to scoring points for Cape Verde, Gomes could be a factor. After a year and a half in Poland, he joined Baitar Benyamina in Israel’s second division and in 10 games put up eye-opening numbers. Gomes shot 53.9% from the floor, including 41.7% from long range, and averaged 27.2 points. He also pulled down 6.6 rebounds, three assists and 2.9 steals.
