Career: KK Zagreb (Croatia-A-1, 2000-05), Real Madrid (Spain-ACB, 2005-07), Fuenlabrada (Spain-Liga ACB, 2007-08).
Marko Tomas had a breakout season with Fuenlabrada in 2007-08, averaging 13.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in the Liga ACB. The previous two seasons, he had failed to become a key player in Real Madrid and that’s why the club decided to loan him out. Last summer, at only 22, he played in his second EuroBasket with the Croatia National Team and famously drilled a three-pointer with 3.1 seconds remaining to beat Spain, 85-84 in group play. Tomas started his career in Zagreb and at 17 was already the best player of the team. In 2005, Boja Maljkovic recruited him at Real Madrid. Tomas is a tall and strong shooter. He also knows how to use his physical qualities to provide good defence.
