The best way to describe Brice Vounang is this: great body and terrific hands. In France for the past two seasons, he helped SPO Rouen win promotion to the top flight. Used as a backup center, Vounang scored 10.1 points and pulled down 5.1 rebounds in 18 minutes per game in 2008. Before that, Vounang went to the United States to combine school with basketball improvement. Now 25, he first played professionally in Belgium and before that played college ball in America. He had two solid seasons at Eastern Oklahoma Junior College, averaging 18 points and nine rebounds in 2002-03, before transferring to San Diego State. There, he maintained his JUCO stats in a good NCAA program - 15.1 points and 7.5 rebounds as senior in 2004-05. Before that, he had been named WCC’s Newcomer of the Year for 2003-04. After being passed over in the 2005 NBA draft, Brice travelled to Europe and played at Verviers Pepinster.
