Career: BEAC Yaoundé (Cameroon, 2000-04), Manhattan College (NCAA-USA, 2006-08)
When Patrick Bouli entered the U20 National Team in Dakar for the African Championship in 2004, all of the scouts who watched him earn MVP honours and lead Cameroon to the silver medal wanted him to take his game to the United States. He did just that – but not until two years later, when he enrolled at Manhattan College. At Manhattan, he has just had a solid sophomore season as a backup shooting guard, averaging 3.5 points, 3.4 rebounds in 21 minutes per game. Bouli stood out in one game in particular, pouring in 20 points against Wagner College. His long range shot will be a big problem for defences during the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament. Last year at the FIBA Africa Championship in Angola, Bouli made nine of 17 (52.9%) shots from long range.
