At 32 years of age, Thomas brings experience and leadership to the young Canadian National Team. He’s the most versatile player in Leo Rautins’ team and his value cannot be measured by statistics alone. Thomas can play any of the three wing positions and is an excellent rebounder on the offensive glass. He uses his long arms to keep the ball alive, and his length also makes him an above average, on-the-ball defender. Thomas, who plays professionally in Australia’s top flight with Melbourne, has a high basketball IQ. He knows his role and rarely takes a bad shot. The more you watch him, the more you like his game. He played four years at Michigan State University under Tom Izzo.
