Career: Caguas (Puerto-Rico-BSN, 2001-04), Washington Wizards (NBA, 2004-07), Fuenlabrada (Spain-Liga ACB, 2007-08), Caguas (Puerto-Rico-BSN, 2008). Selected at the second round of the 2004 NBA Draft (#32), by the Washington Wizards.
P.J. Ramos was born in Puerto Rico but raised in New York. He came back to his native island to make his debut in the BSN league with the Criollos de Caguas in 2001. He made a name for himself at the 2003 FIBA World Championship for Junior Men in Greece. One year later, he was drafted by the Washington Wizards and played for Puerto Rico at the Athens Games. Ramos spent three years in the NBA but did not meet expectations. This season, he moved to Spain to play for Fuenlabrada in the ACB but averaged only 6.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game and finished the campaign with Criollos de Caguas in the BSN league. Ramos, due largely to his size, remains an important player for the Puerto Rico National Team.
