Career: Stanford University (United States NCAA), Christchurch Sirens (Australian WNBL)

Bodensteiner was born in Christchurch and holds an NZ passport, but grew up in Rupert, Idaho, and attended Stanford University, one of the best women’s college basketball programmes in the United States. She played in 96 games for the Cardinal from 2002-07, earning Pac-10 All-Academic honours. Since graduating, Bodensteiner has taught at an international school in London and has made late bid for a spot on the Tall Fern roster for the Beijing Olympics.
