Too short to play center, Nicholls will still spend a lot of time in the paint where she is extremely physical. Consider this one statistic from her first professional season – she led the league in rebounding with an average of 8.1 per contest. Nicholls has developed a parallel career with fellow youngster Torrens, not only in the European youth competitions where the two won three gold medals, but also in Spain where they met in Segle XXI before linking up against in Vigo this season where the two play for their U18 coach Miguel Martínez. That fact helped Nicholls a lot, letting her know she would play key minutes. One positive development for her this season was an improvement in her shooting skills.
