Career: JIANGSU (China-WCBA, 2001-2008)

Bian Lan celebrated her 19th birthday four years ago at the Olympic Games in Athens. That was about the only thing she enjoyed in Greece. As a rookie in the National Team, she appeared too nervous to play well in her first Olympic appearance. She will spend her birthday again at the Beijing Games. The forward will be 23 on August 16 - one day before the last game in the group stage. Another difference between Beijing and the Athens Games is that she is now a starter for the Chinese. Bian Lan is a smart and out-going player. She averaged 6.4 points per game at the 2006 FIBA World Championship for Women in Brazil
