Career: GUANGDONG (China-WCBA, 1999-2008)
In the Chinese national team, Song Xiaoyun’s nickname is “Quick Horse”. Her parents were track and field athletes. As a little girl, Song Xiaoyun liked athletics a lot but her father steered her into a career of basketball. Song is extremely quick and aggressive on the court. She played at the Olympics four years ago in Athens. At the FIBA World Championship two years ago in Brazil, she averaged five points, 2.4 assists and 3.6 rebounds in eight games. Song is a quiet girl off the court and impresses others with her lovely smile. Her dream is to buy a big house for her parents in her hometown so that they can live a happy and comfortable life.
