Shchegoleva is not the prototypical power forward as she likes to run the floor using her great quickness. But her slim body can also be a weakness when it comes to fighting for rebounds. She is one of the key members of the Russia National Team, but also plays an important role for Spartak Moscow Region. This season, she helped her team win the EuroLeague Women by averaging 10.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. At last year’s EuroBasket, Shchegoleva poured in 9.7 points in 23 minutes per contest. Shchegoleva is a huge part of Igor Grudin’s team. When she was younger, she played in both Austria and France before coming back to Russia.
