The MVP of the 2006 FIBA World Championship, Opals vice captain Penny Taylor has a complete game that forces opposition coaches to adjust their strategy whenever she is on court. She was terrific at the Olympics four years ago, beating opponents with her dribble penetration but Penny is also able to hit three-pointers. She teamed up with Kristi Harrower this season at UMMC Ekaterinburg and helped the team reach the EuroLeague Women Final Four. She ended up averaging 10.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game for Ekaterinburg, while shooting 55.8% (43 of 77) inside the arc. Taylor elected not to travel to Phoenix this year for the WNBA and instead spent quality time with her husband and linked up with Australia for their Olympic preparations
