Veteran Kanoute started in France with the Bourges Under-20 team, training with professionals the year of their first EuroLeague Women title, and decided to travel to America to play and study at Fordham. After graduation, she stayed one year in New York, training with the WNBA’s New York Liberty while serving as an intern at the NBA offices in New York. She returned to Europe and played in Austria before returning to France to play for second and third division teams. With Hamchetou Maïga, she is the soul of the team. She has the spirit of sacrifice that brought the championship to Mali. At the FIBA Africa Championship last year, she averaged 6.5 points in 20 minutes per game.
