Introduced to the National Team at the tender age of 16, Coulibaly experienced her first FIBA Africa Championship in 2005 in Nigeria and gained valuable experience. The next year, she was the dominant center of two FIBA Africa Championship triumphs with the under-18 and under-20 National Teams. She then moved to France to play for second division side Toulouse. For her second year there, she joined Pleyber Christ, a French second division club where she averaged 12.2 points and a hugely impressive 12.7 rebounds per game.
