Career: TTT/Juniores (Latvia-LSBL, 2001-02), Toulouse (France, 2002-04), Avantis/Turiba Riga (Latvia-LSBL, 2005-07), TTT Riga (Latvia-LSBL, 2007-08).
Brumermane is still a project at center but is definitely improving, albeit step by step. She was the main power under the basket for the Latvian team that won a bronze medal at the U20 European Championship in 2005. The youngest daughter of former Latvian basketball star Ilze Sulce-Brumermane, Aija was included in the National Team roster for the EuroBaskets in 2005 and 2007 but spent most of her time on the bench. After some years in the Latvian club Avantis/Turiba, Brumermane moved to TTT Riga. Good on defence but not yet strong enough on offence, the 22-year-old had only very limited playing time in the EuroLeague (six minutes, 1.5 points per game). By the end of season, she was more impressive: 23 minutes, 14.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in the Latvian League.
