Career: Djoliba AC (Mali, 2000-06), ASPTT Alger (Algeria, 2006-08)
Born in Markala, 200 kilometers northeast of the capital city of Bamako on the Niger River, Kadiatou Touré has been moving from strength to strength as a professional. A member of the 2005 Djoliba team that won the African Club Championship, she jumped at the opportunity to play in Algeria at ASPTT (the Post Office club). Her next step should be a club in Europe. A backup guard, she entered the National Team in 2003. She can hit three-pointers – something that will come in handy in Beijing. At the FIBA Africa Championship, Toure averaged 3.5 points in 15 minutes per game.
