Hejdova has lived in Brno her entire life. With Gambrinus, one of the best teams in Europe, she did not play enough, especially for a young player who needs minutes on the court to develop her skills. Last summer, after three seasons on the bench, she moved to a smaller team to become an important part of a group. With new club Vasolun Brno, Romana showed great shooting abilities. She scored 13.6 ppg, making a very good 31-79 (39.2%) from long range. Hejdova has played for Czech Republic in the European Championship U16 in 2004 (6th) and U18 in 2005 (4th), always averaging at least 13 points per game.
