Career: icrocamp/Campinas (Brazil-CNBF), Americana (Brazil-CNBF, 2002-04), Ribeirão Preto (Brazil-CNBF, 2004-05), Sport Club do Recife (Brazil-PE, 2005-06), Ourinhos (Brazil-CNBF, 2006-08).

Karen is part of the great generation that claimed silver at the 2003 FIBA U-21 World Championship. In the selection, she’s one of the few who has never played abroad for a season. A Brazil champion with Ourinhos, coach Bassul has been accompanying her for a long time at clubs and in the selections and has played a major role in her career. In the basic categories, she most often serves as playmaker. As she has gotten older, she has moved from the point to shooting guard. A player with a lot of quickness, she excels on the fast break. Karen is a tenacious player on defence. Those qualities allowed her to make the cut for the 2006 FIBA World Championship.
