Basko can play from the point guard to power forward positions. She usually produces good statistics in all different categories. The Riga native always tries to do not only her job but to go above and beyond it for the good of the team. Basko grew up with RTU/Klondaika and spent four years with Siena in the NCAA. In 1999, she was one of the youngest competitors at the EuroBasket in Poland. Quick and aggressive with good shooting and defensive skills, she was one of the key players in Latvia’s successful performances at the 2005 and 2007 EuroBaskets. Last season, she averaged 13.5 points per game in the EuroCup Women for her club and was one of the main reasons why Lattes Montpellier qualified for their first French League finals.
