Versatile, talented, a do anything and everything kind of player, Detroit Pistons star Tayshaun Prince offers Coach K and his staff a player universally respected for his defensive abilities and his team first attitude. While Tayshaun is a four-time NBA All-Defensive Second Team choice, don’t underestimate his offensive abilities. Completing in 2007-08 his sixth NBA season, all with Detroit, he helped lead the Pistons in 2007-08 to a NBA Eastern Conference second best 59-23 regular season record, a Central Division title and the 2008 NBA Eastern Conference Finals. One of just 10 players in 2007-08 to play and start in all 82 NBA regular season games, he was credited for 13.2 ppg., 4.9 rpg., and a career best 3.3 apg., while shooting 44.8 percent from the field, 36.3 percent from 3-point, and 76.8 percent from the foul line. Named to the 2007 USA FIBA Americas Championship Team that finished 10-0, won gold and qualified the United States men for the 2008 Olympics, he averaged 7.3 ppg. a team second best 5.1 rpg., 2.1 apg., while shooting 48.1 percent from the field, 35.7 percent from 3-point.
