A former co-captain of the national team, a broken leg prevented Iman Zandi from taking part in the qualifications for the Olympics. Fortunately for him, his team brought home the gold from the FIBA Asian Championship to secure a spot in the Beijing Games. Imam is a pure two guard with a scorer’s mentality. He is a good perimeter shooter and one of Iran’s scoring threats. On any given night he can hurt opponents from beyond the arc.
