Career: Guangdong (China-CBA, 2000-08).
In 2002, Shipeng Wang joined Guangdong Hongyuan and soon became the starter and eventually helped the team capture three successive CBA titles (2004 to 2006). He was called up by the Chinese National Team in 2004. Wang actually has something in common with former Team USA star Tim Duncan. He was at first a swimmer but switched to basketball, though at an early age. Wang is a good dribbler and can shoot from anywhere on the court. The highlight of his career was his buzzer-beating, long three-pointer at the 2006 FIBA World Championship that gave China a one-point win over Slovenia and put them into the last 16.
