Career: Siroki Brijeg (Bosnia-A1, 2002-2007), Pamesa Valencia (Spain-Liga ACB, 2007-08).
Stanko Barac was one of the revelations of the last EuroBasket. He averaged 5.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game and caught the eye of big European clubs and NBA scouts. TAU Vitoria signed him but then loaned him to Pamesa Valencia, which gave him the opportunity to gain experience by playing in the Liga ACB, and also the ULEB Cup. He helped his team reach the Final Eight and averaged 6.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in the European competition. Barac was born in Bosnia-Herzegovina and grew up playing for Siroka Brijeg before moving to Spain. He is a tall player with very good hands. He is above all a good defensive player but has the potential to also become an effective offensive threat. He was drafted last summer by the Miami Heat, who traded his rights to the Indiana Pacers. Though given a chance to play at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament, Barac struggled. He nevertheless remains an important member of the team.
