Career: Shanxi (China-CBA, 2005-2007) Bayi Army (China-CBA, 2007-2008)

Wang did not receive basketball training until he was 14 years old but showed great promise and was one year later selected to China’s under-15 team. Wang was deemed the best player in his age group. Wang joined the Bayi Team from the Henan Team for the 2007-08 campaign and averaged 13.5 points and 4.3 rebounds – good enough performances to made China’s National Team Squad. He has yet to appear for the country in an official competition.
