Career: DKV Joventut Badalona (Spain-ACB, 2001-08), Portland Trail Blazers (NBA, 2008-)

Rudy Fernandez had an astonishing 2007-08 campaign, leading the ACB in scoring at 21.1 points per game. He was MVP of DKV Joventut’s Copa del Rey and ULEB Cup title wins. Still only 23, the 2006 FIBA Europe Young Player of the Year has just signed a multi-year contract with the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA. Fernandez is a great athlete who can also put in incredible shots; he can take the jumper off the pick or off the dribble. He combines that huge scoring ability with a point guard-like court vision while on defense, Fernandez led the ACB this year in steals per game. During Spain’s world title run in 2006, Fernandez had his share of high-flying dunks which made him one of the tournament’s most spectacular players.
