Career: Siauliai (Lithuania-LKL, 1997-99), Arizona (USA-NCAA, 1999), Lietuvos rytas (Lithuania-LKL, 2000-06), Panathinaikos Athens (Greece, 2006-07), Dynamo Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 2007-08). Selected in the second round of the 2001 NBA Draft (#56) by the San Antonio Spurs.

There aren’t many international calibre players that shoot free throws like Shaquille O’Neal, but Javtokas is one of them. After making just eight of 36 attempts at the 2006 FIBA World Championship, at least the big man surpassed the 50% barrier at EuroBasket 2007 when he averaged 12 minutes per game. Javtokas’ fortunes continued to improve in 2007-08 when, after a year on the bench with Greek giant Panathinaikos, the immensely popular center left to join Dynamo Moscow. The move paid off as Javtokas became one of the leaders of the Russian Superleague outfit. Though Dynamo failed to achieve their primary goal of winning the ULEB Cup after losing in the semi-finals, Javtokas at least played big minutes, giving him a strong chance to appear in a second consecutive Olympics.
