Career: Sava osiguranje Rijeka (Croatia-A1, 1996-2000), Cibona Zagreb (Croatia-A1, 2000-04), AEK (Greece-ESAKE, 2004-05), Cibona Zagreb (Croatia-A1, 2005-07), Unicaja Malaga (Spain-Liga ACB, 2007-08).
Like Marko Popovic, Davor Kus can play at both guard positions. His career began to take off when he joined Cibona Zagreb in 2000 and debuted in the Euroleague. He then spent one season in Greece with AEK Athens in 2004-05 before returning to Cibona. One of the better players in the Croatian league, he averaged 14.4 points and 2.8 assists per game in the Euroleague in 2006-07. This strong performance helped him make the National Team for last year’s EuroBasket. Kus was signed by Unicaja Malaga and played in the Liga ACB. Though he missed critical free throws at the end of Unicaja’s Game Two of their ACB play-off semi-final against Tau that cost his team a chance of victory, he rebounded with terrific performances for Croatia at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament. Kus is a solid playmaker who can hit three-pointers and usually does make free throws.
